One month has been passed in Japan. I haven’t produced any kind of paper. But, I have produced a lot of problem, such as bad pronunciation in English, unable to speak Japanese, joining Mondialogo Awards, unfamiliar about the research topics. I need study more seriously and take off my holiday to overwhelm my problems.
My professor, Oyama Sensei, give me a choice between measurement and manufacturing. I have decided that I would take Semiconductor Manufacture even it is more difficult than measurement. Maybe, my last project will be Photonic Crystal.I prefer to choose Photonic Crystal because it has good future. Most of people aren’t familiar with this term. I bet all of my lecturer in Indonesia couldn’t describe it detail. But, I am could not explain too because it is too difficult. One of my fellow friend, JYPE student from Chinese, Lin Fan Jiang, has given choice among Photonic Crystal, Carbon Nano-tube, and Amorphous Crystal. He confess to me that I won’ take Photonic Crystal due difficulty in understanding, especially you need a broad knowledge to understand that. He choose Carbon Nano-tube due the vast application in daily life. Amorphous Crystall is not popular among us due their characteristic is random (That is my opinion).
Today, I joined in some discussion in our group. Most of discussion was conducted in Japanese, so I couldn’t understand at all. Moreover, Even though the Indian Student, post doctoral, presented his research in English. I still couldn’t understand due my lack of knowledge. His level is too high for me. He presented about Terahertz Wave (In Japanese Terahertz Nami-> the character in One Piece). But, I feel glad to join in this meeting.
Oyama Sensai had been told me about my first task. I will make Photolithography. It is easy task, but I still unfamiliar about it. I heard the Photolithography when Solar Lecturer, by Mr. Ferdiansjah. I only know the procedure how to conduct this experiment. But, I am still glad I could do it, because I couldn’t do it in Indonesia.
My topic of research isn’t easy enough since I was Bachelor degree. My fellow friend who conducts the research with me is Sho-san, the handsome and rich Japanese who is pursuing master degree now. According My senpai, Kezawa-san, the final year of master degree, lithography is formal procedure to understand semiconductor manufacturing and it is very important for doing next research.
Next time, I will explain the term of Photonic Crystal, of course, in my point of view.

What is the relationship between Phsycal ENG. with semiconductor ???
